Alebrije - Fox on Bike

Mexican alebrijes are intricate wooden sculptures painted with vibrant designs, originating from the Mexico City neighborhood of La Merced in the 1930s. They hold cultural significance, reflecting the strong indigenous heritage in Oaxaca through diverse motifs and designs inspired by Zapotec and Mixtec cultures. This art showcases the creativity and skill of artisans, while preserving Oaxaca's rich and diverse cultural traditions.

This whimsical creature was created by Vincent’s Hernandez Vasquez in San Martin Tilcajete, Oaxaca, Mexico.

It come in two pieces and measures 10 in tall, 8.5 in deep and 5.5 in wide.
